Far East Aluminium Works Company was first established in 1969 in Hong Kong as a small workshop and the business was incorporated in 1977 as Far East Aluminium Works Company Limited. Through years of growth and expansion, the workshop has transformed from a small aluminium windows contractor into a multi-national enterprise. In 1991, the group has undergone reorganization and through its then holding company, Far East Aluminium (Holdings) Limited (ˇ§FEAHLˇ¨), successfully listed its shares in the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited.
In May 1999, China National Aero-Technology Import & Export Corporation acquired a controlling interest in FEAHL and became our major controlling shareholder at that time. In August of the same year, FEAHL changed its name to CATIC International Holdings Limited.
In late 2007, Showmost Group Limited, a company jointly-owned by Lotus China Fund II L.P. (ˇ§Lotusˇ¨) and Starflash Investment Limited, obtained the entire equity interests in FEA Holdings Limited (ˇ§FEAˇ¨), the immediate holding company of all operating companies within the FEAHL for the facade and cladding engineering businesses, and FEA ceased to be a subsidiary of CATIC.
In April 2008, FEA officially changed its name to Far East Group Limited.
In December 2009, Far East Group Limited officially changed its name to Far East Global Group Limited.
Business development
As early as 1980ˇ¦s, we started to embark on curtain wall projects for commercial buildings in Hong Kong and successfully brought in the advanced technology for curtain wall design and installation from the United States. In 1986, we captured the entire market's attention by completing Shanghai's first curtain wall project for Union Building, a prestigious commercial property development.
With our exceptional achievements and showcasing some of the most cutting edge design in our projects, we have become the signature of the curtain wall sector. Since 2004, we have actively expanded geographically towards international markets, and have won many of the prestigious landmark projects, including the worldˇ¦s tallest tower ˇV Burj Khalifa of UAE; Venetian Macau-Resort-Hotel; Cosmopolitan Resort and Casino; City Center Mandarin Oriental and Veer Towers projects in Las Vegas; 605 W. 42nd Street in New York, U.S.A.; Trump International Hotel & Tower and Shangri-La in Toronto, Canada; and Costanera Center in Santiago, Chile.
While we continue to inspire the world with ourcraftmanship, we have been undergoing corporate restructuring and business expansions. In addition to Far East Aluminium Works Company Limited undertaking Hong Kong projects, Netfortune Engineering (FEA) Macau Limited was established in handling Macau projects, Heng Fai International Ltd was formed to invest and operate Xin He Heng Fai Aluminium Products Factory in Shenzhen, and China projects are managed by our offices in Shanghai and Shenzhen. We also have operations around the globe, including offices in Singapore, Dubai, Las Vegas, Toronto, Santiago (Chile).
